All of the women who are involved with Girl Talk are volunteers. We are a diverse group ranging in age from 19 and up. We come from all different racial, ethnic, and economic backgrounds. We have varied sexual orientations.
What brings us together is a desire to support the needs of incarcerated girls and young women. We come at this from different philosophical, political, and ideological backgrounds. We do come together around the idea of the inherent value of every person and a strong belief in human rights.

Hello, I was a Girl Talk volunteer for several years from 2003-until closing. So glad to see the movement is still going! Would like to reconnect in some way.
